Google Plus was initially planned to be shut down in August 2019, but Google declared in October that a lack of security affecting millions of accounts had affected its decision to move up the date.

So finally Google said that Google will officially shut down Google plus on April 2, 2019.

Google also exposed that after February 4th Users will not be able to create new profiles, pages, communities and events on Google Plus. Google has also created an FAQ page where it has answered all the important questions about it.

NOTE: The Company said that the photos and videos uploaded to Google Photos will not be deleted.

Google Plus started its journey in June 2011 as a counterpart of Facebook and other social networking media. But Google plus has never been able to attract.

In a New York Times report in 2014, Google's monthly usage of users was only 2.4 million, where Facebook users were 12.8 million.

NOTE FOR G Suite customers:  Another necessary issue to notice is that G Suite customers are going to be ready to access Google plus after April similarly. The Google accounts of G Suite users will stay active and the company is also planning to introduce a new design and features for G Suite users in the coming months.
